Those of you that may have attended the Celabration of Life held in early June may recall seeing the attached notice. Since I have some experience working with the UMass, Amherst fundraising staff I am helping Roland with the mechanics of getting a scholarship established.

For those that might be new to CCPG, Paul was one of the original ‘founding’ members. He passed away 01August2022. Attached is the rememberance I composed for the typ356NE club last year

More than one person has asked me on Saturday mornings about making donation. So, that’s why I’m posting this.

A little about the mechanics of the UMass, Amherst Scholarship process… In order to establish an ‘ongoing sholarship ‘endowed’ or annuity type scholarship, UMass requires a minimum initial gift of $10K. I believe Roland currently has a little over $3K, currently. We’re not looking for CCPG to push this over the top… just so’s you know. Should the fund not make the threshold we will make a on-time donation to the College of Engineering (where Paul started his academic career) toward some specific goal.

I’ll be glad to answer any Q’s anyone may have.

    Sorry I haven’t stopped by to see you.I’ve been working on two rememberances of life for my Chatham Housing Authority fellow board commsioner member
    Pricilla Ford for a Sat July 14th event.The next weekend after is four days of events to honor the passing of my 73 yr old sister Joyce happening in Granby
    and Chicopee Mass.I’ll pop up to breathe some fresh air …hopefully by the end
    of July.Barbara and Myself made a $100 donation and told Roland we would continue to donate monthly,We’re going to accelerate the amt and rate to help reach the goal.Wondering if our little club could have tickets for a drawing to
    provide a gift card for Stoddard.The Yacht Club could do the same for a gift card toward purchase for a sailboat item at one of the yacht suppliers.
    Just thinking……………..I know some of Paul’s friends from his days living in
    South Hadley Mass………………..I’ll give them a call
