2007 Boxster S – temp warning light issue

I have a 2007 Boxster S.  Got in the car, started it and the red warning light on the temp guage was blinking red.  I checked the fluids and they are at “max”.   Thinking it might be an instrument issue, I shut off the car and started several times.

Southcoast Autoworks suggested bringing it, but don’t drive it which means AAA.

Any thoughts or suggestions before having it towed?

Thanks

I’d go ahead with a tow. Had a similar issue with a 968 (cooling system warning light with no apparent cause) and decided to take a chance and drive it to the shop. Almost fried the engine. DD

You might try Sports Imports in Pocasset or S.E.L. Foreign Auto Repair in Bourne. Might save you some money on the tow unless you have AAA. Then within a certain mileage it shouldn’t cost you anything. If that’s the case and you have experience with South Shore, have it towed there.
